SATs 2017
The children all have their revision books and should be working on parts of these over the next few weeks.
During lessons I will be pointing the children to the relevant sections that link to the learning that day so that they can re-cap and revise the specific learning to support them in their preparations.
Just to remind you that SATs week itself starts Monday 8th May 2017 with the last assessment on Thursday 11th May 2017.
The tests all take place in the mornings of that week - plenty of sleep and less X-box/PS4 over the next few weeks will work wonders!!
Please find some internet links below to websites which will help your child in their preparations.
SATs Links
It's the start of the Spring Term and the children have all returned with bags of energy, ready to tackle 2017!!!
We have already started our new topic by listening to "The Planets" by Holst and finding out about him. Our other work linked to this includes investigating the work of abstract artists such as Joan Miro and Kandinski and studying science-fiction stories in our English lessons. The children will then be creating their own pieces of artwork and writing their own stories based on our studies.
Reminders
If there is anything that I can help you with this term, please send in a note or just pop in.
Many thanks - Mr Newton
