Year 2 - Miss Craig

Miss Craig

WELCOME TO YEAR 2!

My name is Miss Craig and I am very excited to be teaching in Year 2 at St Joseph's Primary school! Welcome to Year 2's class page, this is where you will some find key information and current learning the children are completing at the moment. We encourage positive attitudes towards learning and school life and we love to watch the children's individual achievements blossom throughout the year.

We have been settling in to our classroom brilliantly since returning from the Summer holidays and we have loved watching the children's achievements so far.

If you need to contact me for any reasons please don't hesitate to come and see me.

Miss Craig and Mrs Spagnolo :)

Our Summer topi is all about growing things. We have got some little visitors in class at the moment which we are waiting to emerge from the chrysalis into butterfly's! Ask your child all about them!

The KS1 phase have had a fabulous time visiting the Sea Life Centre. The children accessed two curriculum sessions learning about animal habitats and how animals breed, survive and protect their young. We had an amazing day and learnt lots! Ask your child about what they have learnt.

Our RE work on display

Year 2 have had a fantastic morning debating whether the wicked witch from Hansel and Gretel should go to prison or not. Ask your child what the jury voted for!

Please feel free to come and see me if you have any worries or concerns,

thanks Miss Craig

To help develop our understanding of letter writing we have written letters to Mrs Monaghan asking for new playground equipment. The children had a look at what things were in a post office to help with their role play learning. They also had a chance to post their letters in the letter box. Let's hope Mrs Monaghan writes back to us!
