Summer Term Year 5 

We are so excited to see you back after the lovely Easter holidays and we have got a busy Summer Term.

Our History this half term is based around Victorian Preston, where we will be learning lots about how Preston has changed and developed over the years, as well as what life would have been like for a child who lived in Victorian Preston. We have our school trip planned this half term to Waddecar Adventure Centre, where we will be enjoying the great outdoors and learning about wildlife and survival. In English we will be writing our own spooky stories, before moving onto biography writing. For more details about our learning this year please take a look at our 'Curriculum Overview' below.

Reminders:

• Children are expected to read regularly at home and have their reading records signed. It is advised that they do this every evening.
• PE this term will be on Tuesday  afternoon. The children will need to keep their kit in school until the end of the term when they will be able to bring it home to wash.
• Homework will be sent out on a Friday and this is to be completed either in their homework book or online and will be due back the following Wednesday.
• Spellings will be sent home on a Monday and children will need to learn these words for the following Monday.
