Open the attachment below Monday 1^st March English showing the model story map. Play the video 1.3.21 English and listen to the story being read.

Look at the beginning of the story map on the attachment. In your workbook continue drawing the story map to represent the story. When you have finished, learn the story using actions.

The sh sound spelt ch

Sometimes the sh sound is spelt ch. It can come at the beginning, middle or end of a word.

This happens because the English language have borrowed a lot of French words.

Dot and dash each of the words below.

 The Parables

Jesus often told stories when he was teaching people. We call these parables. They are an earthly story with a heavenly meaning.

Jesus knew that the crowds enjoyed listening to his stories. He sometimes told stories that would make people think and even his disciples needed some of the parables explained to them.
