Welcome back

We have had a fantastic first week in school and everybody has been working hard.

Our history lessons this half term are based around 'The Great Plague' and in R.E. we will be focusing on creation and covenant.

In Maths we are learning about place value and we will be spending lots of time focusing on the children's times tables skills ready for the multiplication check next year.

Our English work will be focusing on fantasy stories and explanation texts.

Our focus in Science this half term is 'animals including humans' where we look at detail at teeth and digestive systems.

We will keep you updated on our Class Dojo page with photographs and messages and we will update you with key information on here too. 

Reminders:

• Our P.E. time is Thursday afternoons.
• Homework will be sent out on Fridays. The children will be given a homework book with work in to complete at home and it will be due back on the Wednesday the following week.
• Every Friday your child will bring home a new spelling list to practise, ready for a spelling test on Friday morning.
• Children are expected to read regularly at home and have their reading records signed. It would be ideal if this could be done each evening, even just 10 minutes reading with your child makes such a difference.
• Please ensure your child attends school in full school uniform each day.
