Mrs Newton
Welcome to Year 2A!
My name is Mrs Newton and I will be teaching Year 2 this year with Miss Griffin.
Throughout the Autumn term, our RE focus will be Creation.
In Maths, we will be focussing on number and place value as well as counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
In English, we will be reading the book 'The Way Back Home' by Oliver Jeffers.
In Science, we will be learning about animals including humans and our Geography learning will focus on the local area and coasts including Blackpool.
Important Information
- PE will be on Monday morning. Children should have a full PE kit including a t-shirt in their house colour. Children should leave their PE kit in school, it will be brought home every half term. Please remove all earrings for PE days.
- Children will receive homework on a Friday and it should be brought back the following Wednesday.
- Children MUST read regularly to an adult at home. Please aim to read together at least 3 times a week.
- Please make sure that you are signed up to Class Dojo as this is where I will post important messages, reminders and information about what is going on in school.
