The School Councillors have been very busy this term already! Throughout this week we have sold poppies and other poppy related items around school to raise money for the Royal British Legion, to remember the soldiers of the past and present. We went to every class and would like to thank all of the children and parents who have donated to this fantastic charity.
We will keep updating you with all of our other responsibilities within school!
On Thursday we were fortunate enough to have Beauty and the Beast visit our school. We really enjoyed the pantomime and had a wonderful time. Please have a look at the pictures below to see the amazing time we had.
Year 5/6 want to say a big thank you to all of the parents who joined us for our assembly, to remember the soldiers of World War 1, World War 2 and present day heroes. We really enjoyed sharing our reflections with the other children and parents. We hope that you enjoyed it too.

Our champion readers in each key stage were announced in assembly today.
These were the children who have made the most progress in their reading this term.
it just shows what regular reading can do- well done to them all!
On the 11th October Year 5/6 had a wonderful day at Miss Bell's farm because they were wonderful and well behaved during her PE lessons, and won the most stable points from the school. They spent the day Orienteering, horse riding, grooming the ponies and trampolining. They ate their pack lunches outside in Miss Bell's special hut and they really enjoyed themselves, for some children it was their first experience of riding a horse.
I am very proud of how our school council elections have been carried out. The children have voted democratically in the hall. They have all chosen people who would be represent their school rather than just voting for their friends. They are a going to make a great team giving our children a voice in school. Well done to them all!
