Our girls' football team took part in a tournament this week. They represented the school so well. Well done team!! They even got to meet Paul Gallagher (PNE player!)- the girls were thrilled.
Today we launched our new house teams for St Joseph’s.
The teachers dressed up and entertained us with a funky dance to promote the new house team colours and names. The names of the houses represent the four Gospel writers in the New Testament
Red= St Luke
Yellow= St John
Green = St Matthew
Blue = St Mark
All the children in school will be given a ‘free’ coloured t-shirt to wear for P.E and sports events. In addition every child has been given a house team to represent. We have kept siblings together and all staff are allocated a house team too.
The children will be learning all about their Gospel writers (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and winning points for their team during the rest of the school year. Points will be announced each Friday in Assembly.
The winning ‘sport’ team and winning ‘points’ team will win a shield each, at the end of the academic year.
Good Luck team St Joseph’s!!!
