Friction

We investigated how far a car would travel on different surfaces. We learnt about friction during our lessons and decided that each surfaces creates a different amount of friction. We then used what we knew about friction to predict which surface would make the car travel the furthest.

We have been sorting out rocks using a venn diagram, we needed to investigate the properties of each rock and then decide which category they belong in. We sorted them by colour and whether they had rough or smooth edges. The children enjoyed working together and discussing what the rocks looked and felt like.
