Please ensure your child follows the Phonics lessons daily. This will support your child to read. In Reception, they need to learn Set 1 followed by Set 2. Please click on the link and watch the lesson virtually. Each day, a new sound will be added.

L.O: To speak in full sentences. To describe Goldilocks. -Recap the story of Goldilocks, can you remember the story and the actions?
Find the picture of Goldilocks in your English pack. Watch the video under this timetable, it will explain todays task. Focus- Talk about Goldilocks' personality. What kind of character is she? - What has she done? - Can you think of any words to describe her? -Was it a good idea to go to somebody else's house? -Is it safe to go into a stranger's house? Make sure you are encouraging your child to talk in full sentences, such as: Goldilocks is naughty because she broke Baby Bear's chair. She was silly because she went into a stranger's house. Goldilocks was cheeky because she slept in Baby Bear's bed. |

L.O: To find the total of two amounts Re watch yesterday's video. It can be found below this timetable. You will need a worksheet from the pack. Week 3 SHEET 3.. To complete the sheet- - choose two numbers that make a total within 10 -Today you can focus on higher numbers that still equal 10 or below. (e.g: 5+3= 6+2= 7+1= etc) - find a number on the number line and draw that many dots - repeat in the other circle - Count the two amounts altogether, explain that this is 'adding' them. Then draw the final amount in the bottom circle. Challenge- You could write the numerals instead of drawing the dots. Use your number track to help you. L.O: To identify hot and cold
Make a bowl of porridge, like the Three Bears and taste it like Goldilocks did. (If you have no porridge, use Weetabix) Discuss if the porridge is hot / cold/ warm? How can you tell?
