Use the green work book in your learning packs to practise writing the letter ' y '

Phonics

 

9.30am

Please ensure your child follows the Phonics lessons daily. This will support your child to read. In Reception, they need to learn Set 1 followed by Set 2. Please click on the link and watch the lesson virtually. Each day, a new sound will be added.

 

The Video's will be live from 9.30am and will last for 24 hours.

L:O- To continue a rhyming string 

 

A rhyming word is 2 or more words that end in the same or similar sounds. 

They sound very similar. Such as cat, mat, hat or ring, king. 

 

Watch today's video. 

Play the game - match the picture to the correct rhyming word.

 

Task 

Use sheet 'week 5, sheet 2' from your work pack.

 

Write a simple rhyming string such as dog, log, frog.

Complete at least 2 of the animals on the sheet.

Look at worksheet 8 (shape word mat), can you name any of the shapes?

-Use the sheet to count the sides on each of these shapes.

 

Complete worksheet 10 from your Maths pack.

To complete the sheet, count the sides on each shape.

 

Challenge - Can you name a pentagon? Can you count the sides on pentagon?
