Use the green work book in your learning packs to practise writing the letter ' w '
Please ensure your child follows the Phonics lessons daily. This will support your child to read. In Reception, they need to learn Set 1 followed by Set 2. Please click on the link and watch the lesson virtually. Each day, a new sound will be added.
The Video's will be live from 9.30am and will last for 24 hours.

Speak with your grown up about which animals Sam the sheep dog found on the farm.
What are their babies called? E.G A baby cow is called a calf.
Speak in full sentences to talk about the animals on the farm.
Can you make their animal noises?
L:O- To discuss the properties of 2D shapes.
Watch today's video all about counting vertices.
Before half term we named 2D shapes and counted their sides. Now we are going to learn all about vertices.
Vertices are when two edges met. A bit like a corner. One is called a vertex and more than one we call vertices.
We will look at ONE shape a day so that we can fully understand what vertices are and secure our other knowledge about 2D shapes.
You need SHEET 11 from your pack of sheets. You had this sheet before half term.
Today we will look at a Triangle.
1. Go and find some triangles around your home. Can you find different sized triangles?
2. Can you point out all the vertices? How many vertices do all triangles have?
3. On sheet 11 write down how many vertices triangles have. We will look at a different shape each day.
Extra task- Can you remember where you found the triangles in your previous shape hunts? How many sides does a triangle have?

In the story read in the video Dan owed the King money. But the was kind and said Dan did not have to pay him because he knew this would be hard for Dan. Later, Dan saw his friend, who owed him some money. Dan made his friend pay him. Dan should of been understanding and kind just like the King was to him.
Discuss the images in the video of people being kind.
Think about times when you have been kind and talk about them.
Can you write about a time you have helped someone? was it family or a friend or even your teacher? such as ' I help mum tidy up.'
Then draw a picture of yourself and then write labels or sentences about how to be a kind friend. Write important words such as 'share' 'help' 'love'
