Try some of these activities at home to support yours child's learning. Send pictures through class dojo or bring them to nursery!
- If you have a pet at home talk about what they eat, drink, Where do they sleep. Discuss their colour and breed.
- Whilst outside listen to the animal sounds - What can you hear?
- Sing 5 cheeky monkeys
- Talk about animals you see in the zoo/Farm.......What colour are they? discuss their features - Do they have stripes or spots?
- Can they draw an animal and add features
- Read an animal story together
- Put some flour into a tray make snake marks
- Ask your child do they know any songs about animals
- Make animal shapes using outdoor materials such as leaves and sticks
